Lake Forest college

Consumers require authenticity from a brand, especially if those consumers are graduating high school students and the brand is where they’ll be spending the next four years of their lives.

WHAT THEY NEEDED

Lake Forest College had everything going for it, but nobody knew about it: a beautiful campus perfectly near enough to (and far away from) Chicago; small class sizes with accomplished professors; a diverse and spirited student body; and, incredibly for a small liberal arts college, a 97% job placement rate. In a world that requires every diploma to come with a paycheck, Lake Forest’s over-performance in launching careers was a stunning revelation. This would be their place on the map.


WHAT WE DID

Fascinated by this dichotomy of professionalism and liberal arts, we went searching for the link between the two, conducting multiple interviews with students, faculty, administration, and alumni. We discovered that students were encouraged to establish multiple majors and minors, enabling them to pursue both passion and pragmatism simultaneously. They could make their curriculum specifically their own, and they could make a successful a career out of it. They could make it, as in mold it, and they could make it, as in succeed at it. We found it: Make it.
